Lashawnta Mclean holds a bachelor’s degree from Winston-Salem State University and a master’s degree from Webster University. With 20 years of experience in the mental health field, Lashawnta Mclean has worked extensively with both adults and children facing mental health diagnoses, intellectual disabilities, and substance abuse challenges.
Throughout her career, she have supported individuals with a range of diagnoses, including ADHD, ODD, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Mood Disorders, Dual Diagnosis, Comorbid Conditions, and other mental health concerns. As an eclectic counselor, she primarily utilize a solution-focused approach when appropriate while also integrating various clinical orientations based on client needs.
Extensive training has been completed in multiple therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed CBT, and Crisis Intervention Training. As a licensed mental health counselor and licensed substance abuse counselor, Lashawnta is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care.
Beyond professional work, she enjoy traveling and spending quality time with family.
